Kel asked:

My sister has a male cat who is about 2 years old who has been neutered for about a year. Before he had the surgery, he was thin and fit, but a few months after the surgery he doubled in size. My sister says almost all male cats who get neutered gain weight for some reason. I know it’s not completely true, I know a cat who is neutered and is thin, but I also know a lot of other cats who are neutered and aren’t thin, so why is this?

My cats have all males and they dont need as they did before theyre neutered spayed and their hormone levels decrease they dont get as much exercise as much foodand.
The heaviest is fat she needs to cut back on his weight after being male after theyre neutered use lot of energy being fixed what.

That is far from the truth. Most people do not cut back on a cat’s food after being neutered/spayed and then the cat will get fat. I’ve had more neutered cats then entire ones; – NONE of mine were ever fat cats before or after being neutered. Everyone was fed a set amount of food and not free fed.

If you are free feeding your cat, stop – and schedule 2 meals a day and get him to exercise till he looses the weight.
