Definitely not, you want lean muscle for basketball anyways, not bulky muscle. You’ll definitely want to be strong, but you don’t have to weigh a lot to be strong. Train for strength, endurance, and quickness.
At 5′8 you need to get up to at least 165. You are still growing so lets say you hit 6′1 at that point you’ll want to get up to around 183 to 190.
